RH&C ETIP meeting in Brussels

RH&C ETIP meeting in Brussels, June 20, 2017

On June 20, 2017, the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating & Cooling (RHC – ETIP) organized its annual event at CENELEC headquarters in Brussels.

The (RHC-ETIP) has gathered together stakeholders from the biomass, geothermal, solar thermal and heat pump sectors – including the related industries such as district heating and cooling, thermal energy storage, and hybrid systems – in order to define a common strategy for increasing the use of renewable energy technologies for heating and cooling.

The plenary meeting was followed by the Steering Committee meetings of four technology panels of the RHC ETIP:

  • Solar Thermal TP
  • Biomass TP
  • Geothermal TP
  • Heat Pumps TP

During the meeting of the Geothermal TP, all the EU and nationally funded projects in the geothermal field were presented, and a very interesting debate was triggered by the future EU calls for the same geothermal sector.

From behalf the Cheap-GSHP Project, the participants were: Adriana Bernardi, Luc Pokele, Javier Urchueguia, Ric Pasquali and Robert Gavriliuc.
