Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Conference
On March 7, 2017, Prof. Robert Gavriliuc has participated in Sofia (Bulgaria) at the “Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Conference”.
On this occasion, a geothermal panel was organized, focusing on the geothermal energy use in the Balkan countries.
The participants at the panel were:
- Juliet Newson, Ph.D. – Director Iceland School of Energy, Reykjavik University (Iceland)
- Robert Gavriliuc, Ph.D. – President of the Romanian Geoexchange Society, EGEC board member
- Stefano Consolandi – Sales Director EMEA, EXERGY Company (Italy)
- Vasil Kolikovski, M.Sc. – CEO GEOSOLAR Company (Bulgaria)
- Sanja Popovska-Vasilevska, Ph.D. – University “St.Kliment” Ohrid, Faculty of Technical Sciences-Bitola, Macedonia
Prof. Robert Gavriliuc presented the paper “Geothermal energy use in the Balkan countries – present status and future perspectives”.
The presentation contained also information about the Cheap-GSHP Project, focusing on the real and virtual demo sites which will be developed in the frame of this project, namely: the Technical Museum Zagreb (Croatia), the Orthodox Monastery Bodani (Serbia) and the historical building from Bucharest (Romania).
A poster presenting the Cheap-GSHP Project was displayed at the entrance in the conference room, accompanied by leaflets.
